Why is SoLoMo an innovative marketing approach ?
SoLoMo is an innovating marketing approach because it uses social, local and mobile tools to make the customer buy a product. The more interesting in this innovation, is that it isn't as "aggressive" as an usual marketing approach and most of the time usual friendly: the customer doesn't feel like the brand wants to attract him. For example, when Mc Donald's lauched it's app where customers can get free items taking a photo on a screen, the first reason that turn a customer to try the game is just to have fun and if he like it he would try again so get more interest for the brand.
What 5 elements are needed for a successful SoLoMo ?
Successful SoLoMo need to be:
-usual friendly
-for the social part, it has to be able to attract the right target
- for the mobile the app has to be easier than other channels luke a website for example
- the customer has to be involved to repeat his experience
- has to be adapted to the customer (for example, RATP adapt information to each customer depending on the metro line theydaily use.
